The votes are in! As I complete my term as your President, I am thrilled to share the official results of the very first open election in the history of the Canadian Association of Magicians.

🏆 Election Results: Welcome Your New Executive!

Please join me in congratulating our newly elected leadership team, who will officially take office on August 31:

• President-Elect: Shawn Farquhar

• Vice President-Elect: Marc Trudel

I know CAM is in exceptional hands with Shawn and Marc!

I also want to extend my personal gratitude to every candidate who ran for executive office and to all the members who raised their hands to serve.

Our outgoing board will be meeting with Shawn and Marc shortly to help select the remaining members of the Board of Directors, and we will share further updates soon.

🌟 Looking Back on Six Years of Progress

Completing my six-year tenure on the executive team—three years as Vice President followed by three years as President—has been an incredible journey.

I am deeply proud of what our board, volunteers, and membership achieved together:

• Digital Transformation: Overhauled the CAM website to bring our association fully into the digital age.
  

• Global Impact: Supported Past-President Renée-Claude in bringing FISM to Canada.
  

• Community Initiatives: Developed our quarterly CAM JAM virtual events and launched the digital edition of Northern Peeks magazine.
  

• Expanded Member Value: Delivered tangible perks including performer liability insurance discounts, access to VANISH Magic Magazine, and exclusive discounts with participating magic shops.
  

• Democratic Governance: Established CAM’s first-ever open election process to give every member a direct voice.

Thanks to the hard work of our team and the enthusiasm of our community, I am proud to conclude my term with CAM at its highest membership numbers in my entire six years on the board
